Backyard Hockey

One of the fond memories from childhood was the backyard rink that my dad made for many winters. We had flood lights, just like the rink in the photograph, so that we could skate at night. It was a huge amount of work for my dad; we learned to skate and had hours of fun. Now we are enjoying a friends rink that he has spent hours making and flooding for his kids. Thanks Dad.

It was a pleasure to make them, often with our sons’ help, and then seeing them enjoy it!
    Thanks for the recognition, David.
